Good afternoon everyone! I’ve been planning some upcoming articles and/or podcasts but every time I start something, things change.
Between DC and Tallahassee, they can’t seem to stay on a straight path.
The Manatee County BOCC goes on summer recess after this week so I plan to use that time to catch up on my thoughts and (hopefully) figure out the whole podcast thing.
Looking ahead, I intend to write and/or podcast on:
What happened to limited government? 🤏
What happened to free markets? 🤷♂️
My opinion on how development and growth “should” be done. 🏘️
How budgeting works and how your property taxes affect your services. 💸
Look for those articles, podcasts, whatever I can figure out, in the coming weeks. I’m hoping to have them all out before the end of recess.
Until then, Manatee County HAS figured out the whole podcast thing.
Today they released the fifth episode of Chambers, Changes, & Conversations with myself as their guest. The episode is embedded below.
You can find their previous episodes at the link below. You can also subscribe with your favorite podcast app or on YouTube.
Additionally, before recess, I’ll be holding one more library town hall (probably). I’ll be at Rocky Bluff Library this Thursday (June 19) at 6pm.
However, the BOCC has a Land Use meeting scheduled for that day that wasn’t on the calendar when the town hall was booked. I’m hopeful we’ll be done in time but, until we know for certain, this town hall is cautiously-optimistically-tentatively scheduled.
As I posted on Facebook, you can text me at 941-713-0225 before you head to the library and I’ll update you on status.
Stay tuned. I’ll be working over the summer to fill you in on what’s going on and how it affects your qualify of life.
Until then, have a great start to the summer!
Looking forward to the podcast but please don’t have it so scripted like the ones I’ve listened to so far on the MC site. Podcasts should be a conversation not a performance
